The AI creation for one of the world’s most famous games had already amused many people with classic characters like Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Raiden being replaced by the faces of famous individuals such as Joe Biden, Beyoncé, Pope Francis, Donald Trump, and Mark Zuckerberg.

Now, a new video, ‘Celebrity Mortal Kombat II,’ brings even more famous faces as game fighters. Even Ed Boon, the game’s creator, succumbed to the fun. In a social media post, he mentioned having a good laugh watching the clip but also commented on how AI can be eerie.

The new roster of celebrities features new faces; Will Smith, Greta Thunberg, Winston Churchill, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Lionel Messi, Morgan Freeman, and Chuck Norris are just some of the celebrities that are part of the new lineup. The video was created using MidJourney, a tool capable of generating high-quality images from textual descriptions.
