Ada, who celebrated her 108th birthday in June, resides at the Codnor Park Care Home in Derbyshire, England. Until the age of 97, she enjoyed daily walks around the town and only moved to a care home at the age of 103.

I once asked her what her secret was, and she said it was having dogs, not children,” shared Kelly Goucher, activities coordinator at Codnor Park Care Home, in a conversation with the Bored Panda website. Ada particularly liked greyhounds and had many of them.

She was born in the village of Ambergate in 1915. At the age of 27, she married her beloved husband Percy, who passed away at 73. The two did not have children because they preferred the company of their four-legged friends.

Despite her advanced age, Ada is not the oldest person in the United Kingdom. According to the Oldest in Britain website, the oldest person in the UK is Ethel May Caterham, who is 114 years old.
