Misty Dawn Hight, 37 years old, used her social media to share fabulous news: she will soon be a grandmother. Her post caused many reactions and quickly went viral; many internet users were surprised, as Hight looks too young to have a grandchild, and others were very indignant about the whole story.
“You keep asking how I’m going to be a grandmother,” Hight begins in the video. She explains that her daughter, Rileigh, is getting ready to welcome her first child in April. “I got pregnant with her when I was 15.” Rileigh, now 20 years old, got pregnant last year and will soon have her first baby.
The clip quickly went viral, accumulating over 1.3 million views, and the internet was shocked and commenting that she will surely be the grandmother with the youngest appearance in the world. “You look maybe 22! We need to know your skincare routine!” commented one; “No way you’re over 22,” declared another.
But the post didn’t please all internet users, and many people didn’t care about the future grandmother’s appearance but rather about her message and what it could mean: “This is not something to be proud of,” one of them raged, while another accused her of “promoting teenage pregnancy.”
