The dentist fish, also known as cleaner fish, is a great nature’s janitor; these marine animals clean dead skin, parasites, and bacteria from the mouths and other parts of the bodies of aquatic animals such as sea turtles, shrimps, eels, whales, among others.
This type of fish does it as a form of nutrition, and in the case of the video, the little fish probably mistook the diver for some other marine creature. The footage begins with the diver standing still underwater; his mouth is open, and a little fish then enters, gets close to his teeth, and nibbles on them. It ends with the aquatic creature floating inside the man’s mouth.
