The Mexican twins were born joined from chest to pelvis and share on social media what it’s like to share the same body.

When Carmen and Lupita Andrade were born in Mexico in 2002, doctors believed they would only live for three days. Now, 20 years later, they show on social media what it’s like to live day by day sharing the same body.

The conjoined twins are connected along their chest walls, they have two arms, but only one leg each, with Carmen controlling the right leg and Lupita the left one. Because they share many organs, they could never be separated.

Although they were born in Mexico, they have lived in the United States with their whole family since they were very young. Carmen and Lupita often use their social media to explain to the curious how they manage to be unique individuals even though they are conjoined. On YouTube, the two have posted various videos explaining particularities about their lives.

On Instagram, the sisters have separate profiles and Carmen keeps hers private. On TikTok, the sisters often post short videos about their daily life, including how they are managing Lupita’s two-year relationship, a situation that initially caused strangeness but has already been resolved.
