A 78-year-old man got stuck in a silo full of grains and needed the efforts of the entire community and local police to escape death. The dramatic scenes of his rescue were captured and posted on social media by the Queensland Police Department in Australia.

The video shows the rescue teams, who went through the local community searching for shovels, digging a hole in the side of the ground to gradually empty the silo’s contents and thus create space for the victim to be freed.
“You can get more shovels, man… we need to protect his breathing,” one of the police officers can be heard shouting while trying to keep the man’s head above the surface. Thanks to the efforts of the police, paramedics, and residents who dug and worked together, the man was saved.
