Raina Huang, 29, travels the world to participate in eating challenges and shares the competitions she faces, earning her over $30,000, or more than R$140,000, in cash prizes. Her talent has also turned her into a major success on social media, with over 4.3 million followers on TikTok and YouTube.

“I’ve eaten a lot and quickly throughout my life, and it became easy,” Huang told the British news agency South West News Service. “I think it comes from playing video games; I just wanted to eat quickly so I could get back to my game.”

Huang’s favorite food is Mexican because she believes it’s the easiest to eat in a hurry and because that’s how it all began. “I tried to be part of the entertainment industry because I wanted to be an actress or singer, but that market is too saturated,” Huang says. “But it was while I was working as a chef that someone suggested I try an eating challenge, and I managed to eat a 4-kilogram burrito in six minutes.”

“Someone recorded me doing it, and the video was much better than I expected, and I thought, ‘My God, people like to watch me eat,'” she said. “After five months of consistently posting content on YouTube, I decided to pursue this new activity full-time,” she said about her professional change. “My family questioned it at first but ended up supporting me a lot, and now they are very happy. Today, I earn more than when I worked as a chef.”

Despite the gigantic meals, Huang manages to maintain an incredibly fit physique, but how she does it is a secret, as she doesn’t provide details on how she stays slim even while eating so much.
