A courageous piglet earned a second chance at life after jumping off the truck that was likely taking it to its final destination; the piglet was spotted on a busy road, and some drivers alerted the police.

Emotional footage from the body cameras of Ohio, USA police officers shows the officers searching the bushes by the roadside when a small pink dot is spotted in a shrub. They quickly surround the piglet to prevent it from escaping again.
The piglet, clearly terrified, squeals and wriggles as it’s loaded into the patrol car. Despite the fall it took from the moving truck, the piglet only suffered a few scratches. It was taken to an animal shelter and given the name Pearl Pancetta.
After making a full recovery, Pearl will be permanently transferred to a safe haven for farm animals, where she can become the 600-pound pig she was born to be.
