American nutritionist Isabelle Bertolami is a mother of two and has been living in Paris since 2018. She often shares on her social media what her life is like in the French capital; one of the most interesting things for her is how children are fed and the incredible snacks served in school cafeterias.

In one of her posts, Bertolami revealed the menu for a week at her daughter’s school, which caters to children aged three to six. Every day, the little ones are served an appetizer, main course, cheese plate, and dessert. Omelets, fish, sauces, and even mussels are part of the menu.

But one of her most popular videos reveals a simple and delicious snack that French students love to eat: the goûter, a baguette cut in half and filled with a generous amount of salted butter and a generous piece of chocolate. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
